Give your kids a blockbuster summer – all at a beginner’s level – with Minnesota State Parks and Trails I Can! programs. An I Can Camp! overnight program gets you out camping with the kids. The kids will discover the kind of amazing views only seen from a canoe during an I Can Paddle! program. And there’s nothing quite like catching your first fish at an I Can Fish! program. I Can Camp!

An I Can Camp! overnight program is your chance to experience the fun of camping. Our I Can Camp! crew will be on hand day and night to answer all of your “How do I do it?” questions. They’ll walk you through setting up a campsite, starting a campfire and preparing meals. Plus, try activities that will entertain your entire group. Tent, air mattress, cook stove and other gear are provided. Cost is $75 per family/group. Two adults and up to three small children can fit comfortably in one tent. If you have multiple adults or older children, you may only be able to fit four people in your tent comfortably.


I Can Camp! Backpacking

It can be daunting to step out of the campground and into the backcountry for the first time. Our backpacking programs will teach you all the basic skills needed for a successful backpacking trip. Our I Can Camp! crew will be on hand day and night to make sure your trip is a success. They’ll walk you through packing and fitting a backpack, setting up a campsite, starting a campfire and preparing meals. Backpack, tent, sleeping pad, cook stove and other gear is provided. Cost is $105 per pair. Participants must be at least 10 years old.


I Can Camp! Two-night

An I Can Camp! overnight program is your chance to experience the fun of camping. Our I Can Camp! crew will be on hand day and night to answer all of your “How do I do it?” questions. They’ll walk you through setting up a campsite, starting a campfire and preparing meals. Plus, try activities that will entertain your entire group. I Can Fish!

Show your kids the fun of casting into the water and the excitement when there's a tug on the line! These hands-on programs teach all of the basics, from fish identification to casting. You and your family will be ready to begin a lifetime of memories on Minnesota’s lakes and streams. Programs last approximately two hours. Ages five and older. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a registered, participant, parent or legal guardian. $7/person, children under 12 are free with a registered adult.
